Hello! We are ‘The Mortimers’ - the family behind Unique Escapes.

 

We fell in love with this Grade 2 listed property in January 2017 but actually didn’t start renovating the old almost derelict coach house until the autumn of 2019.

 

James is the visionary behind the project. He has incredible spacial awareness and spent hours pouring over plans with architects ensuring every room was flooded with light and felt spacious. He spent months sourcing the right tiles, bricks and stairs, baths and kitchens.

 

Ali is the creative once everything is in place. An eye for detail and colour. Blending contemporary, modern luxury living with classic style.

 

Our sons were the voices of honesty throughout the project - living at home in lockdown it was a regular evening practice to comment on progress as we sat on the field bench….

 

We are so proud of the building, the house, the luxury home we have created.

 

And we love welcoming guests to enjoy it too…
